Mazywood by Tananarive Due was one of my most anticipated September releases, and there’s a lot here that I really liked, especially the historical Old Hollywood storyline. I also read a classic Japanese mystery with a surprisingly low average rating that I absolutely loved, and The Keeper’s Six made me wonder if Kate Elliott is an author I need 500 pages from rather than 200. Plus, one DNF as I officially start working my way through my September TBR!
